ShowingTime equips Island’s Realtors with cutting-edge tools to schedule home showings and better serve sellers and buyers

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.  — Life is about to get a bit easier for sellers and buyers of homes in Staten Island, N.Y.

This is due to a new appointment-scheduling process soon to be adopted by local Realtors.

The Staten Island Multiple Listing Service (SIMLS) Inc. has chosen ShowingTime, a state-of-the-art real estate showing-management technology provider, to service its 1,600 members. The new technology will provide SIMLS members with a smoother-running appointment system that, in turn, will make the buying and selling of homes easier for consumers.

ShowingTime equips real estate agents, brokers, offices, associations and Multiple Listing Services with tools to schedule showings, generate feedback and measure marketing effectiveness. Its products are used by more than 6,000 offices nationwide and integrated with more than 200 MLSs to manage more than 2.5 million showings every month.

Beginning  today (June 4), SIMLS members have access to the tech provider’s ShowingTime Appointment Center and ShowingAssist services.

The combined services mean the Island’s Realtors can call the Appointment Center from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, or log onto the MLS anytime to schedule showings.

STREAMLINED PROCESS

The services will improve efficiency by streamlining the appointment scheduling process.

“Our management team was looking for a technology-rich service to enhance both the online and appointment-center scheduling services we’ve been providing to our members,” said Sandy Krueger, CEO of the SIMLS and the Staten Island Board of Realtors. “The ShowingTime Appointment Center’s beneficial use of technology is very attractive to us, and we’re eager for our SIMLS members and the Staten Island community to benefit from our new industry partnership.”

The ShowingTime Appointment Center will provide Staten Island Multiple Listing Service Inc. member offices and agents with a single phone number to request showings.

They will be able to confirm or reschedule showings from their smartphones, and request showings 24/7 via a new option on the SIMLS Web site. Homeowners also can confirm requests via two-way text messaging.
