Boroughwide opportunity on April 26 and 27 to unite home shoppers with sellers and Realtors
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – If you are shopping for a new home, the Staten Island Board of Realtors (SIBOR) has a treat in store.
To enhance your house-hunting experience, SIBOR members across Staten Island will be participating in Open House Weekend. The largest coordinated event of its type in the borough, the special home-shopping opportunity will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27.
In the past, as much as 45 percent of all home buyers in the nation used an “open house” as a source in their home search process. SIBOR anticipates that approximately 200 homes will featured during the Open House Weekend.
“With spring weather having arrived, this is a great time of the year to shop for a new home on Staten Island,” said Laird Klein, president of the Staten Island Board of Realtors. “As the two-day event unites buyers and sellers, Realtors will be on hand to answer questions about the local housing market and the buying-and-selling process. Home buyers will have an opportunity to meet their new potential neighbors and learn a little more about the community and housing opportunities available to them.”
