Staten Island, N.Y. (March 12, 2019) –  Representatives of the Staten Island Board of Realtors® (SIBOR) and other U.S. real estate experts will be in Israel, March 14 to 23, on behalf of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). SIBOR is NAR’s appointed “Ambassador Association” to Israel.

The group will be comprised of  Sandy Krueger, CEO of SIBOR; Ron Molcho, a past director and active member of SIBOR; Sari Kingsley, a SIBOR past-president and former NAR global ambassador to Israel (2014 to 2017); Joseph Tirone, a SIBOR member and past director; Joseph Schneider, NAR director of global alliances, and Barbara Schmerzler, president, International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI)-USA 2018-2019.

“The president and vice president of the Jerusalem Chamber of Real Estate Professionals are working to form a national association by gathering like-minded licensed brokers and agents into groups representing the towns and cities where they are doing business,” Ms. Kingsley said.

While in Israel, Molcho said, the group plans “to lobby on behalf of the Jerusalem Chamber and meet with regional brokers to discuss the benefits of organizing and the importance of consumer advocacy,” said Molcho, whose group will be making stops in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa. “In Jerusalem, we plan to meet with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and members of the Knesset.”

SIBOR CEO Kruger said he is “looking forward to providing continued support and strengthening our relationship with the Jerusalem Chapter in its effort to organize a national association that upholds ethics, Realtor values, and consumer advocacy.”

Under its Ambassador Association program, NAR appoints a “partner” state or local REALTOR® association to each of its partner countries. The Ambassador Association works closely with the global ambassador assigned to that country and NAR’s global coordinator for that part of the world. The program also gives members of the Ambassador Association the opportunity to expand their global business networks and get involved in international real estate activities at the local or state level.
