Realtors’ Challenge Cup to Raise Funds for local Sunrise Day Camp and Kids Against Cancer unit at Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Staten Island Board of Realtors® (SIBOR) will be holding its annual Realtors’ Challenge Cup fundraiser June 6, once again assisting two local initiatives that focus on children with cancer. Dollars raised through the golf event will benefit Sunrise Day Camp – Staten Island, operated by the JCC of Staten Island in partnership with Catholic Charities of Staten Island, and the Kids Against Cancer unit at Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health.

Gathering in 2018 for the presentation of the Staten Island Board of Realtors’ (SIBOR) $11,100 contribution to Sunrise Day Camp – Staten Island are, from left: David Sorkin, executive director of  the Jewish Community Center of Staten Island (JCC);  Brandon Sturman, vice president, Freedom Mortgage; Gerard Ucelli, special events director of the JCC; Ron Molcho, a SIBOR director and chairman of the 2018 Realtors’ Challenge Cup fundraiser; James Ustun, a SIBOR director, and a vice president with Freedom Mortgage; Matt Gordon, a branch manager with Freedom Mortgage, and Solomon Chemo, president of the JCC Board of Directors.

In 2018, the annual golf outing raised $22,200, resulting in the presentation of an $11,100 check to each of the two causes.

The Realtors’ Challenge Cup will take place at the Grand Oaks Country Club, 200 Huguenot Ave., Huguenot. Freedom Mortgage® is the principal sponsor of event.
