Staten Island Board of Realtors Honors ‘Top Producers,’ Celebrates Agent Day and Trade Show

Trade show launches with 2012 Top-Producer Awards breakfast

Staten Island, N.Y. (March 27, 2012) —  Members of Staten Island’s real estate community took center stage this morning during an annual gala celebrating the industry’s top producers in the borough.

The Top Producer Awards breakfast was part of the Staten Island Board of Realtors’ (SIBOR) Agent Day & Trade Show. The daylong event at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield, included numerous workshops, nearly 100 national and local suppliers, and abundant networking opportunities.

“Our honorees excel in their careers because they are dedicated to the home sellers and buyers they represent, said Georgianna Diaz, president of SIBOR.  “It’s a privilege honoring them for their hard work and devotion.”

The breakfast was sponsored by Continental Home Loans; a cocktail party at the close of the expo was sponsored by Prime Lending.

Other sponsors of the event included Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, attorney Andrew Clapper, United Northern Mortgage, The Real Estate Book, Bentson Agency, Sovereign Bank, Time Warner, TD Bank, Point2 Web marketing for REALTORS®, and Property Shark.

Vendors – ranging from bankers and mortgage brokers to home-security experts, home-inspection firms, home-improvement companies, movers, and more – featured products and services throughout the day.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Guest speakers and topics included the following: Ron White two-time winner of the 2010 USA Memory Championships, and second-place winner of this year’s competition, discussed how to “Triple Your Memory and Triple Your Sales; Russ Cote, president/CEO of social media marketing company Cote Media, presented “Increase Your Sales Through Social Media;” Reiki Master Valerie Gullo, owner of AJNA holistic center and online emporium, focused on the real estate benefits of  Feng Shui; a presentation about the Realtors Property Resource (RPR) and how it will revolutionize the Staten Island Multiple Listing Service; a representative of PreVisite, a leading Social Media Marketing application provider for the Real-Estate Industry, explained “How to Take Better Pictures;”  body-language expert Blake Eastman, founder and head instructor of The Keller Williams Realty Nonverbal Group, focused upon “The Art of Understanding Body Language;” Carol Kope, an associate broker at Keller Williams Realty Partners, Yorktown Height, N.Y., explained “How to Respect All Cultures,” and  attorney Al Fazio, a practicing real estate specialist and instructor at the Long Island Board of Realtors, presented “Don’t Freak Out About the New Fair Housing Laws.”

“Agent Day not only targets real estate; it includes aspects of everything associated with real estate,” said Neila Nuzzi, chairperson of the event. “The day was created to help SIBOR members grow their businesses and benefit from the services offered by the many top-notch vendors in our area.”

A total of 109 awards were presented at yesterday’s breakfast gathering. Top Producer designations are annually awarded for exceptional listing and selling activity to associate brokers and sales associates.
