You don’t necessarily need to own a legendary home in order for it to produce extra money. There are a variety of ways to make this work; you just need to embrace the opportunity that works best for you.
With this in mind, we’re sharing these tips from HouseLogic, an informative resource of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. The following advice is somewhat general, and may be subject to local zoning laws and regulations.
1. Rent Out Your Driveway
This is dependent on your location, but if you have the extra space might as well make some money off it!
2. Make Your Home a Star
There are plenty of famous film locations on Staten Island, yours could be next!
3. Go Green
It’s a big investment upfront, but installing solar panels or building a wind turbine will help Mother Nature and your wallet in the long-run.
4. Go Back to the Land
If you’ve got the land and a green thumb, grow your own veggies.
5. Take in Boarders
This will take some marketing, but there are people that would love to rent space in your home on weekend and holiday visits, your entire home if you go away on vacation, or space in your backyard for camping.
