Attendees of educational event hosted by the Global Business Council of the Staten Island Board of Realtors® are encouraged to embrace worldwide initiatives offered by the National Association of REALTORS®
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Foreign buyers spent $53.3 billion on residential purchases in the United States during April 2022 to March 2023, according to the “International Transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate” report from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
The path to such international business opportunities for Staten Island real estate professionals took center stage during a recent gathering hosted by the Global Business Council of the Staten Island Board of Realtors® (SIBOR).
The brunch, networking and educational event, held Sept. 13 at Violette’s Cellar, Grant City, encouraged attendees to take advantage of the International Resources available from the global outreach activities provided by NAR.
NAR Global, for example, connects real estate professionals to a network of qualified REALTORS®, provides education to help them work with international clients, and delivers the business tools to help globalize their businesses. NAR’s Global equation provides critical initiatives on several fronts, including education, expertise, networking, marketing, and more.
Rocio Uchofen and Daniel G. Hall, co-chairs of SIBOR’S Global Business Council, emphasized the positive influence upon participants in NAR programs that reach beyond the United States, providing resources and support to International REALTOR® Members around the world. He encouraged attendees to use NAR International Resources in their global outreach activities.
AN ARRAY OF SUPPORT
While underscoring the availability of NAR’s Global tools and resources that can help SIBOR members grow their networks and increase business, the event shed light on a variety of highly beneficial tools, such as: Certified International Property (CIPS) Specialist Courses; CIPS Designee Directory; Global Business Councils Directory; International Referrals; International Research; Local Market Assessment Case Studies, and Realtor.com® International Data.
